MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621047733 A) filed by Dr. Vasundhara Rathod; and Dr. Anuradha Rathod on April 14, 2026, for An Adaptive Vr-Bci Brain Gym System And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Vasundhara Rathod; and Dr. Anuradha Rathod.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN ADAPTIVE VR-BCI BRAIN GYM SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF” The present invention relates to an adaptive VR-BCI Brain Gym system (100) for real-time regulation of user cognitive state. The system comprises a non-invasive electroencephalography (EEG) signal acquisition unit (101), a virtual reality interface (102), and an edge computing unit (103). The edge computing unit (103) processes EEG signals to derive hybrid features and generates a continuous cognitive-state signal. A reinforcement-learning-based adaptive controller (400) receives the cognitive-state signal together with user interaction data and produces control signals for modifying parameters of the virtual reality environment. The control signals are applied to the virtual reality environment to produce real-time visual, auditory and haptic feedback. The virtual reality environment thereby influences the user’s cognitive state, while the resulting brain response is continuously captured through EEG signals, forming a closed-loop human-in-the-loop control system (501). The edge computing unit (103) performs all processing locally to enable real-time operation.
