MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631093760 A) filed by Ipfc-Giet University Cell on August 03, 2026, for An Adaptive Toothbrush Device.
Inventors include Kolla Venkata Atchuta Rao; Pushpavalli Rokkala; Nitesh Kumar Khatarkar; and Dr. Avnl Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ADAPTIVE TOOTHBRUSH DEVICE 5 10 An adaptive toothbrush (100) as shown in Fig. 1 comprises a handle housing (13), a pressure sensor (2), a multi-axis inertial measurement unit (9), a haptic actuator (4), an LED feedback ring (3), and a microcontroller (10) disposed within the handle housing (13). The microcontroller (10) performs local sensor fusion of force and three-dimensional kinematic data to identify brushing deviations against a stored reference model. Corrective feedback is delivered entirely screen-free and locally on the device (100) via co-located, sensory-safe haptic patterns and non-flashing visual cues, promoting independent oral motor-learning without sensory overstimulation.
