Abstract: An adaptive power control mechanism for mobile transmitters is disclosed. The mechanism includes a radio measurement interface, context evaluation module, prediction engine, power decision controller, gain adjustment unit, interference estimator, and battery and thermal monitor. Channel measurements, mobility context, predicted link margin, interference classification, and device condition are jointly evaluated to select a target transmit power. Stabilized ramping and hysteresis reduce oscillation while limiting unnecessary interference and energy consumption. The mechanism supports cellular, portable, vehicular, and machine-type wireless transmitters.
