MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621084205 A) filed by Lnct University on July 09, 2026, for An Adaptive Ionospheric Electron Density Reconstruction And Real-Time Space Weather Prediction System.
Inventor includes Arvind Bhargava.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ADAPTIVE IONOSPHERIC ELECTRON DENSITY RECONSTRUCTION AND REAL-TIME SPACE WEATHER PREDICTION SYSTEM The present invention concerns an adaptive ionospheric electron density reconstruction and real-time space weather prediction apparatus. The apparatus obtains heterogeneous ionospheric data from multiple sensing systems, validates, synchronises, harmonises and adaptively assimilates the data for the reconstruction of ionospheric electron density state. The reconstructed ionospheric state is constantly analyzed to detect ionospheric disturbances and predict the ionospheric state. Using the predicted ionospheric state, the apparatus automatically produces communication optimization data, navigation correction data, and operational output data for the communication and navigation systems. The apparatus uses an adaptive feedback loop to integrate newly obtained data to continually enhance reconstructed ionospheric states and operational outputs without stopping the process of reconstruction. Hence, the invention provides a unified adaptive computational platform for improved reconstruction continuity, prediction accuracy, computational efficiency, and operational responsiveness for communications, navigation, defence, aviation, maritime, scientific, and space weather purposes.
