Inventors include Dr. K. Kalimuthu; Dr. Sandip Bhattacharya; Dr. Kalyan Sundar Kola; Dr. Rituparna Mondal; Dr. Ravi Shankar Saxena; and Dr. Gopal Chandra Das.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a adaptive galvanic intra-body communication system (100) for physiological monitoring and therapy that comprises a Sensor Unit (104), a Multiplexer Unit (106), a First Processing Unit (108), an Encoding Unit (118), a Modulation Unit (120), a First Electrode Unit (124), a Communication Channel (126), a Second Electrode Unit (128), a Signal Processing Unit (132), a Second Processing Unit (134), an Actuator Driver Unit (150), and an Actuator Unit (152). The system acquires multiple physiological parameters, selectively processes and encodes corresponding signals, and transmits the encoded data through body tissue. The received data is processed to identify physiological parameters and determine therapeutic actuation based on parameter magnitude and rate of change, subject to predefined safety limits. The system selectively drives at least one therapeutic actuator and monitors communication and operation to initiate a safe state upon communication failure.
