MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641060091 A) filed by K. Ramakrishnan College Of Technology on May 12, 2026, for An Adaptive Electromagnetic Weight System.

Inventors include T. Vinoth; V. Sowmiya; C. Jeffry; B. Santhosh; S. Srihari Prasad; and V. Vijay.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a quantum lift [50] that provides adjustable resistance training through precisely controlled electromagnetic fields. The system consists of six key components resistance selector [50] a control interface for resistance selection, power button [51] a power module with safety features, dumbbell [52] a dumbbell that serves as the resistance element, electromagnetic coil [53] an electromagnetic coil array that generates adjustable magnetic forces, magnetic base plate [54] a reinforced magnetic base platform for stability, and control module [55] an electronic control unit that manages system operation. The electromagnetic core electromagnetic coil [53] creates variable resistance by interacting with the dumbbell [52], while the control interface [50] allows users to select preset resistance levels. The base platform base plate [54] ensures proper magnetic flux distribution, and the control module [55] precisely regulates current flow to maintain consistent resistance throughout the exercise motion. This innovative design eliminates the need for multiple dumbbells while providing instant weight adjustment capability in a compact, efficient package.
