Abstract: The present invention discloses an adaptive edge-based system for wildlife intrusion detection and intelligent response implemented on an edge computing device such as a Raspberry Pi. The system comprises a camera configured to capture real-time visual data and an edge processing unit configured to perform motion detection, selective activation of machine learning inference, multi-model classification, and adaptive fusion. A decision processing module computes a dynamic threat score based on multiple contextual parameters including classification output, motion intensity, spatial characteristics, temporal factors, and historical data. Based on the computed threat score, a response control module determines appropriate actions including logging, siren-based local deterrence, and geo-specific mobile alerts. The system further transmits event data along with captured images to a centralized dashboard via internet connectivity for monitoring by authorities. All core processing is performed locally on the edge device, enabling real-time operation with reduced latency and minimal dependence on cloud infrastructure.
