MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611102873 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on August 26, 2026, for An Adaptive Dermal Absorption Measurement Device For Topical Formulation Evaluation.
Inventors include Dr. Gaurav Sharma; and Dr. Ritu Gilhotra.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive dermal absorption measurement device for evaluating topical formulations. The device comprises a specimen support assembly (110), donor chamber (120), receptor chamber (130), sensing assembly (150), environmental conditioning assembly (160), adaptive controller (170), sampling assembly (180), and data-processing module (190). The sensing assembly (150) monitors temperature, hydration, pressure, fluid level, and analyte concentration. The adaptive controller (170) dynamically regulates operating conditions and sampling intervals according to measured parameters. The device determines cumulative permeation, flux, retention, lag time, and related absorption characteristics for comparative topical formulation evaluation under controlled conditions.
