MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611064317 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology on May 21, 2026, for An Adaptive Data Rate Control Method For Iot Networks.

Inventors include Rahul Agarwal; and Dr. Vartika Shukla.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: An adaptive data rate control method for IoT networks is disclosed. The method receives device state information from an IoT node, link observations from a gateway, and candidate rate entries from a supported rate table. A rate decision engine evaluates reliability, energy, latency, and congestion components to select a provisional data rate. A stability controller applies hysteresis and transition limits before a rate command is issued to a radio transceiver. The method improves packet delivery, energy efficiency, and network capacity under changing wireless conditions.
