MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611102403 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on August 25, 2026, for An Adaptive Ai Edge Gateway Orchestrating Home Devices During Power Outages.

Inventors include Dr. Arastu Sharma; and Dr. Sohit Agarwal.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive AI edge gateway for orchestrating household devices during power outages. The gateway comprises an electrical-condition sensing module, processing unit, local memory, communication interface, AI decision engine, energy-state estimator, priority manager, and load-control module. The gateway dynamically classifies and prioritizes loads, estimates available backup energy from a battery, renewable-energy source, or generator, and selectively sheds, defers, cycles, or restores devices. Local AI operation enables autonomous energy management without continuous cloud connectivity, thereby extending backup duration while maintaining designated essential household services.
