Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN 18-KARAT GOLD ALLOY” The present disclosure discloses a gold alloy. The gold alloy includes a composition of gold at 75 wt.%, copper from 10 to 15 wt.%, silver from 6 to 12 wt.%, zinc from 0.1 to 3 wt.%, germanium from 0.1 to 1 wt.%, palladium from 0.1 to 0.5 wt.%, silicon from 0.01 to 0.05 wt.%, and indium from 0 to 0.1 wt.%, having a yellow coloured appearance. In another embodiment, the gold alloy includes a composition of gold at 75 wt.%, copper from 15 to 25 wt.%, silver from 0 to 5 wt.%, indium from 0.1 to 0.5 wt.%, germanium from 0.1 to 1 wt.%, palladium from 0.1 to 0.5 wt.%, and silicon up to 0.05 wt.%, having a rose coloured appearance. The gold jewellery made from the alloy exhibits tarnishing resistance properties. Figure 1 is a representative figure.
