Abstract: ABSTRACT AMRUTVED NUMBER 1 is a novel Ayurvedic poly-herbo-mineral formulation conceived by the late Dr. Vd. Dilip Prabhakar Gadgil, Ph.D. (Ayurveda), and clinically applied by Dr. Sushrut Dilip Gadgil, M.D. (Ayurveda), for the management, prevention and adjuvant treatment of cancer. The formulation comprises fourteen synergistically combined constituents: Hiraka Bhasma, Raktapachaka Churna (Patola, Sariva, Musta, Patha, Kutaki), Shukrashodhana Gana, Rasayana Churna (Gokshur, Amalaki, Guduchi), Sitopaladi Churna, Yashtimadhu Churna, Vaikrant Bhasma, Bruhat Vata Chintamani Rasa, Vedanantaka Rasa, Suvarna Bhasma, Suvarna Makshika Bhasma, Gairik Bhasma, Shaliparni Churna and Dushivishari Agad Churna. The formulation acts through direct cytotoxicity, apoptosis induction, anti-angiogenesis, anti-metastasis, immunomodulation, Rasayana-adaptogenic effects, analgesic action and mitigation of chemo-radiotherapy toxicity. It addresses cancer pathogenesis as described in Ayurvedic classical texts and modern molecular oncology, offering a safe, multi-target therapeutic approach suitable for solid tumors, blood cancers, pre-malignant lesions and adjuvant oncological support.
