MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641106138 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on September 03, 2026, for Amphibious Dual-Screw Propulsion Vehicle For Multi-Terrain Mobility.

Inventors include Vimal A; and Kavin C.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an amphibious dual-screw propulsion vehicle configured for mobility across different terrain conditions including flat surfaces, muddy areas, soft terrain, and shallow water. The vehicle comprises a chassis supporting a pair of substantially parallel screw propulsion members, each comprising a cylindrical shaft provided with a helical propulsion profile configured to generate thrust through interaction with a surrounding terrain or fluid medium. The screw propulsion members are arranged on opposite sides of the vehicle and are driven to provide continuous interaction with the operating medium, thereby enabling propulsion in low-traction environments. The vehicle further comprises supporting and mounting structures configured to maintain alignment, symmetry, and stability of the dual-screw propulsion arrangement during operation. Independent rotational operation of the screw propulsion members enables forward movement, reverse movement, and directional turning of the vehicle. The dual-screw propulsion mechanism provides a common propulsion arrangement for operation across terrestrial and shallow-water environments, thereby improving mobility and traction in soft and unstable terrain conditions and providing basic amphibious movement capability.
