Abstract: Normal method of studying reverse characteristics of Photo diode uses a photodiode connected in reverse bias across a battery with series resistance of 1kilo ohm. Whereas this method works for a small number of photo diodes available in the market, for most of the photodiodes available in the market this circuit fails to show proper characteristics. So, an alternative to this circuit is needed. The current innovation solves this problem by incorporating a suitable series resistance.
