Abstract: ABSTRACT ALTERNATE VOLTAGE SENSING A battery management system comprising: a battery pack having a plurality of battery cells arranged in series and parallel configurations, wherein said battery cells have positive and negative terminals; a first set of voltage sense wires connected to cells accessible from a first side of the battery pack; a second set of voltage sense wires connected to cells accessible from a second side of the battery pack opposite to the first side; a first inline connector configured to receive and terminate the first set of voltage sense wires; a second inline connector configured to receive and terminate the second set of voltage sense wires; an inline connector harness having a first end with two connector interfaces, wherein one connector interface mates with the first inline connector and another connector interface mates with the second inline connector, and having a second end with a single connector interface; and a battery management system board having a connector, wherein, the single connector interface of the inline connector harness mates with the connector of the battery management system board to enable voltage monitoring of the plurality of battery cells.
