Abstract: The present invention is directed to a composition comprising isomers of alkyl benzene sulfonates, wherein the composition comprises the structural isomers ABS(I) and ABS(II) in a molar ratio ABS(I) : ABS(II) ranging from 10:90 to 30:70, and wherein the composition comprises at least one further alkyl benzene sulfonate selected from ABS(III), ABS(IV) and ABS(V). The present invention is furthermore directed to a manufacturing method of these compositions and the use of these compositions in oilfield and enhanced oil recovery applications.
