Abstract: The proposed alkaline water electrolyzer assembly (100) includes electrode plates (102) and diffuser plates (104) linearly stacked between the electrode plates (102) arranged in alternating electrode and diffuser configurations defining a stack plate assembly, Each electrode and diffuser plate (102, 104) includes baffle holes for allowing flow of electrolyte through the stack plate assembly. The assembly (100) includes anode rods (106A) and cathode rods (106B) extending through the electrode plates (102) to mechanically compress the stack plate assembly and conduct electrical current to electrode plates (102) mounted thereon. The assembly (100) includes a first plate (108) having an inlet (108A) and a second plate (110) having an outlet (110A) are positioned at both ends of the stack plate assembly to allow inflow of electrolyte into the stack plate assembly and outflow of a hydrogen-oxygen gas stream formed after circulating electrolyte through the stack plate assembly.
