Abstract: ABSTRACT Title: Alkali-Activated Prefabricated Wall Cladding System with Thermal Insulation Properties A prefabricated wall cladding tile for building envelope applications addresses high thermal conductivity and carbon emissions associated with conventional cement-based cladding materials. The tile comprises a cement-free alkali-activated mortar matrix comprising Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag and Class F Fly Ash as aluminosilicate precursors. An alkaline activator comprising Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Silicate initiates dissolution of reactive silica and alumina phases from the aluminosilicate precursors to form binding gel networks within the mortar matrix. Sand is incorporated as fine aggregate within the mortar matrix. Alkali-resistant glass fibers are dispersed within the mortar matrix and provide crack-bridging action within the hardened mortar matrix. The tile integrates thermal insulation capability and mechanical reinforcement within a single monolithic structure for exterior wall installations (Fig. 1).
