The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The proposed invention connects to waiting-time display of railway level-crossing and alert system for vehicle fuel saving for decreasing unwanted vehicle idling at closed railway gates. The system consists a train-information unit or train detection, processing unit, railway gate status sensor, electronic roadside display and waiting- time estimation module. The processing unit calculates the duration for remaining gate closure by using gate-status information and train movement and estimated waiting time displays to riders of motorcycle and other road users. The system recommendation to creates an engine shut off to motivate users to switch off vehicle engines when the waiting duration estimated exceeds a predetermined threshold. The waiting time might be regularly updated with respect to train position, crossing duration, speed, gate operating conditions and safety clearance requirements. The system incorporates wireless communication, audible alerts, solar power, IoT monitoring and battery backup. The invention helps in decreasing exhaust emissions, fuel consumption, unnecessary vehicle idling and noise, at railway level crossings without affecting with signalling systems and authorized railway safety.
