MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611071017 A) filed by Dr. Rashmi Ashtt on June 08, 2026, for Aircraft Seating System With Deployable Adjustable Foot Support And Active Circulation Enhancement Assembly.
Inventor includes Dr. Rashmi Ashtt.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aircraft seating system comprising a deployable foot support assembly (08) integrated with an active circulation enhancement module (07). The foot support assembly (08) is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position and is adjustable in height, lateral position and angular orientation through an adjustment mechanism (06) comprising a telescopic slide rail (14), height adjustment actuator (14a) and angle adjustment hinge (14b). A key feature of the invention is that the active circulation enhancement module (07) is structurally integrated within the foot support assembly (08) such that a single deployment action through a deployment actuator (09) simultaneously positions the therapeutic stimulation elements into operative engagement with the plantar surface of the passenger's feet. The module (07) comprises massage rollers (10a, 10b), pressure nodes (11), vibration actuator (12) and optional heating element (13) for enhancing blood circulation and reducing lower-limb fatigue. A controller unit (19) and passenger control interface (20) regulate therapeutic operating parameters through a power supply interface (22) and feedback/position sensors (21). In certain embodiments, biometric monitoring sensors (25) and wireless communication module (24) enable adaptive therapeutic regulation. The invention improves passenger comfort during prolonged travel while satisfying aircraft space, weight and certification requirements.
