Abstract: The present invention relates to an air conditioning unit (1) for a motor vehicle (2), - comprising a dehumidifying device (4) arranged in or on a flow channel (3), which device has a hygroscopic element, - wherein the flow channel (3) divides into two sub-channels (5, 6) downstream of the dehumidifying device (4), wherein a flap arrangement (9) having a flap (10) which is movable between at least a first position and a second position is provided, wherein, when the flap (10) is in its first position, at least a predominant portion of an airflow flowing through the dehumidifying device (4) passes into the first sub-channel (5), whereas, when the flap (10) is in its second position, at least a predominant portion of the airflow flowing through the dehumidifying device (4) passes into the second sub-channel (6).
