Abstract: An AI-powered wearable navigation aid is designed to transform the navigation experience for visually impaired users. The system employs a real-time camera module, strategically mounted on a cap, to capture continuous visual data of the surroundings. This data is processed using Azure Computer Vision, which enables high- accuracy detection and identification of obstacles, pedestrians, and environmental features. Proximity sensors complement this setup by measuring distances to obstacles, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the user's environment. The processed data is then converted into actionable feedback through two mechanisms. First, a haptic feedback system provides intuitive directional vibrations, alerting the user to nearby obstacles and their proximity. Second, an auditory feedback system delivers descriptive verbal instructions and environmental details via a speaker, ensuring the user receives complete spatial awareness. This solution is lightweight, energy-efficient, and ergonomically designed for daily use.
