MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119320 A) filed by Dr. M. Gomathi; and S. Sharon Sweeti on October 06, 2026, for Ai-Powered Vascular Thermal Pattern Analysis For Cardiovascular Risk Assessment.

Inventors include Dr. M. Gomathi; and S. Sharon Sweeti.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: "AI-Powered Vascular Thermal Pattern Analysis for Cardiovascular Risk Assessment" aims to develop an advanced, non-invasive diagnostic system that utilises artificial intelligence (Al) and thermal imaging technology to detect and evaluate cardiovascular health risks. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are among the leading causes of death globally, and early detection plays a crucial role in improving patient outcomes. This system leverages infrared thermography to capture thermal images of vascular regions, such as the hands, face, or chest, where subtle temperature variations reflect underlying blood flow and vascular conditions. Using deep learning algorithms and image processing techniques, the thermal patterns are analysed to identify abnormalities such as poor circulation, arterial blockages, and inflammation that may indicate early signs of cardiovascular dysfunction. The Al model is trained on a large dataset of thermal images correlated with clinical parameters to improve prediction accuracy and reliability. The proposed solution provides a low-cost, contactless, and real-time method for cardiovascular risk screening, suitable for both clinical and remote healthcare •e nvironments. Additionally, the integration of cloud computing and IoT allows continuous monitoring and data analysis, enabling personalised health insights and timely, medical intervention. Overall, this project demonstrates how AI-driven thermal pattern recognition can revolutionise cardiovascular diagnostics by providing an efficient, safe, and accessible approach to preventive healthcare.
