Abstract: An AI-powered sniper detection system (100) comprising a multi-sensor detection unit (102), comprising a plurality of acoustic sensors (108) configured to detect gunshot sounds, muzzle blasts, and bullet shockwaves, and to triangulate sniper position, at least one optical camera (110) configured to capture muzzle flash and glare from sniper scopes, at least one thermal imaging sensor (112) configured to detect heat signatures from snipers , an artificial intelligence processing unit (104) configured to receive and analyze sensor data to identify and classify sniper threats, execute gunshot detection and classification to recognize specific firearm calibers based on audio profiles, perform ballistic trajectory estimation to predict bullet flight paths and identify shooter locations, an autonomous counter-sniper unit (106) configured to trigger automatic defense mechanisms, provide haptic feedback to soldiers through wearables that deliver vibration or audio alerts indicating sniper direction and distance.
