Abstract: Road accidents caused by driver fatigue, alcohol consumption, human error, and unexpected obstacles remain a major concern in modern transportation. This project presents an AI-powered smart self-driving car system designed to improve road safety and provide reliable autonomous driving assistance. The system combines alcohol and drowsiness detection, lane assistance, obstacle detection and avoidance, self-parking, voice control, and emergency alerts within a single platform. An ESP32 handles real-time sensor monitoring and vehicle control, while a Jetson Nano supports AI and computer vision processing. The vehicle also uses offline map data and path- planning algorithms to provide navigation and rerouting even without continuous internet connectivity. During emergencies, GPS and GSM modules can share the vehicle's location with predefined contacts. The proposed system aims to provide a practical, affordable, and intelligent autonomous driving solution while improving driver safety, navigation reliability, and overall vehicle control.
