Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION (to be given along with complete specification on separate page) Mining industries frequently encounter rockfall incidents that pose significant risks to worker safety, mining equipment, and operational continuity. Conventional rockfall monitoring methods primarily depend on manual inspections, periodic geological assessments, and standalone sensor systems that often provide limited predictive capability and delayed warning. The present patent disclosure proposes an AI-Powered Multi-Parameter Rockfall Prediction and Intelligent Early Warning System, an intelligent safety framework that proactively predicts potential rockfall events through continuous monitoring of geological and environmental conditions using Internet of Things (loT) sensors and Artificial Intelligence (Al). The proposed system acquires real-time data from multiple sensors, including vibration, tilt, moisture, temperature, and crack detection sensors, to evaluate rock stability under varying environmental conditions. The collected sensor information is transmitted to an edge computing unit, where machine learning algorithms analyze historical and real-time data to estimate the probability of rockfall occurrence and classify the associated risk level. Based on the predicted risk, the system autonomously generates early warning alerts through web dashboards, mobile notifications, SMS, and audible alarms, enabling timely preventive actions and evacuation. The proposed invention aims to improve prediction accuracy, reduce false alarms, enhance worker safety, minimize equipment damage, and support continuous monitoring of mining environments. The invention provides a scalable, cost-effective, and intelligent rockfall prediction solution suitable for open-pit mines, underground mines, quarry operations, tunnels, and other rock slope monitoring applications.
