Inventors include Dr. Amit Shukla; Jeevan Aji George; and Durgesh Ameta.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and method for multi-modal workspace monitoring using video data. The system (100) comprising a plurality of video cameras (102), a processing subsystem (104), and a person identification engine (106). The person identification engine (106) is configured to determine identity of persons across the cameras (102) using weighted fusion of facial features, physical attribute features, and gait features. The system (100) generates a temporally adaptive attribute profile (108) for each person based on an initial confirmed identification within a defined time period, enabling subsequent cross-camera identification. The system further detects a spatial breach condition based on presence of an unauthorized individual within a defined region and simultaneous absence of an associated person. Video data is processed using a combination of periodic frame sampling, continuous stream processing, and temporal clip-based processing to support scalable and efficient monitoring across multiple camera streams. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
