MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611093094 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on July 31, 2026, for Ai-Powered Image Encryption With Advanced Sensors And 5d Chaotic Mapping.
Inventors include Prashant Hemrajani; and Varsha Himthani.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image encryption system that utilizes artificial intelligence and microcontrollers to provide a secure channel of image transfer based on AI and sensor technologies. The system comprising artificial intelligence, microcontroller unit, and sensor technology capable of providing safe and real-time transmission of image information. It applies a five-dimensional (5D) hyperchaotic map for encrypting images where key generation relies upon a strong dependency of chaotic systems to initial conditions and control parameters. Embedding of the image is conducted by employing deep learning methods involving convolutional neural networks that embed the encrypted image into the reference image without causing perceptible distortions and alterations. This process preserves the structural and statistical properties of the host image. The collection of image data takes place by using CMOS sensors, infrared sensors, LiDAR systems, and accelerometers. Before being encrypted, the image data are subjected to preprocessing. The encryption process is conducted by a microcontroller, which also manages the embedding of the encrypted information into the reference image without compromising its visual qualities. Reconstruction of the image involves artificial intelligence algorithms capable of retrieving the embedded image without noticeable distortions. Decryption of the retrieved image is accomplished with the help of an AI-based decoder.
