Abstract: Unfortunately, the risks have increased along with the internet's rapid growth. Malicious websites, drive-by downloads, phishing schemes, and session hijacking have all increased in frequency. Cloud-based security solutions and conventional software-based browser extensions frequently cause performance issues and privacy issues. This project proposes a specialised hardware system that functions as an intelligent edge security gateway to identify and mitigate online threats in order to address these problems. A machine learning engine is integrated into a small hardware platform in the suggested system. This platform is capable of performing HTTP header inspection, session validation, download isolation, and real-time malicious URL classification. This system employs a trained Random Forest model that is installed on an embedded processor, in contrast to conventional firewalls that use signature-based filtering. As a result, it can identify phishing attempts without establishing a connection with an outside server. The hardware device is positioned between the internet and the user's network. Before the traffic reaches the user's systems, it analyses it by intercepting DNS and HTTP requests. In order to identify unsafe configurations, it also looks at cookie properties and session parameters. To shield the device from potentially dangerous payloads, suspicious downloads are routed to a sandboxed execution environment. The system provides quick, proactive protection that protects user privacy by integrating network-level enforcement, edge computing, and embedded artificial intelligence. The design offers a layered defence appropriate for home, business, and educational networks while minimising performance impacts.
