Abstract: ABSTRACT AI-POWERED FOOD DEMAND FORECASTING AND SURPLUS REDISTRIBUTION SYSTEM The present invention provides an AI-powered food demand forecasting and surplus redistribution system (100) integrating a data acquisition and preprocessing module (110), a predictive modeling engine (120) employing a gradient boosting regressor model (122) for generating demand forecasts, a smart cooking plan module (130) applying a buffer optimization heuristic for recommended cooking quantities, a user authentication and profile management module (140) with role-based access for food service entities, non-governmental organizations, and donors, a real-time cloud integration module (150) with WebSocket-based synchronization, and a surplus food redistribution module (160) with atomic donation claiming. The system (100) achieves a coefficient of determination of approximately 0.92 for demand prediction, approximately 38 percent waste reduction, and service reliability above 98 percent through integrated forecasting and real-time redistribution.
