Abstract: The current invention focuses on an AI system for scanning, measuring, and inspecting mechanical components with the help of 2D images. This invention is made using a traditional approach, wherein we use manual instrumentation measurement devices, coordinate measuring machines, or 3D scanning technology as these technologies are expensive and need experts to operate. This system relies on computer vision, machine learning, and photogrammetry, which will identify the edges, contours, and geometrical properties of mechanical parts to measure their dimensions using a single or multiple image source. It also detects defects and gives real-time quality feedback using a user-friendly interface. Automatic calibration of lighting, camera angle, and distance are some of the features it supports to provide accurate measurements in various environments. It is portable, economical, and easy to use, thus ideal for industrial inspection, quality control, research and development, and small workshops. It minimizes manual labor, inspection time, and human error and enhances the accuracy and efficiency of mechanical part measurement
