Abstract: ABSTRACT An AI-powered adaptive study companion system (100) dynamically restructures an active study task according to learner interaction behavior. The system (100) comprises an Interaction Event Capture Module (101), Behavioral Feature Extraction Module (102), Focus-Flow Attention-State Estimator (103), Threshold and Intervention Controller (104), Task Dependency and Effort Model (105), Micro-Goal Structuring Engine (106), Adaptive Pace and Difficulty Controller (107), Sensory-Load Interface Controller (108), Session Event Store and Analytics Layer (110), and Post-Session Refinement Module (111). Timestamped interaction events are converted into behavioral features for determining an attention-state or disengagement-state value. Upon satisfaction of a personalized threshold condition, the active study task is transformed into bounded micro-goals and associated pacing and sensory-load parameters are modified. Intervention outcomes are recorded and used for bounded refinement of learner-specific parameters for subsequent sessions. The figure associated with the abstract is Fig. 1.
