Abstract: An AI-optimized afforestation and reforestation framework for intelligent forest carbon sequestration and climate mitigation utilizes a multi-layered digital architecture to transform forest restoration into a predictive, precision-driven scientific process. The system features a data acquisition module [1] that ingests multi-source inputs comprising satellite imagery, airborne LiDAR structural point clouds, drone data, and ground inventories, which are subsequently processed by a pre-processing block [2] for radiometric calibration and feature extraction. A data fusion layer [3] executes multi-resolution alignment of these features, feeding them into an AI processing core [4] driven by deep learning (CNN, LSTM) and machine learning (Random Forest) models. The AI core features biomass estimation modules that quantify aboveground biomass and predict belowground carbon stocks via dynamic root-to-shoot ratios, alongside canopy monitoring units, model calibration blocks, and uncertainty analysis components executing Monte Carlo simulations. Operating as an end-to-end decision-support system, an outputs and dissemination layer [5] synthesize these analytical components into high-resolution carbon stock maps, time-series monitoring dashboards, and reporting frameworks. By integrating site suitability analysis, multi-species selection optimization, long-term survival probability forecasting, and predictive ecosystem modeling, the invention enables scalable, adaptive, and scientifically optimized restoration strategies that maximize net carbon capture efficiency while ensuring long-term ecosystem stability.
