MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202644006588 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy on January 22, 2026, for Ai/Ml Based Channel State Information Compression.
Inventors include Dimitri Gold; Akshay Jain; and Istvn Zsolt Kovcs.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AI/ML BASED CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION COMPRESSION Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) based channel state information (CSI) compression. In a method, a first apparatus determines a CSI report based on CSI and according to a first model at the first apparatus. The CSI report comprises compressed CSI. The first apparatus transmits the CSI report to a second apparatus. If at least one condition is satisfied, the first apparatus retransmits the CSI report to the second apparatus; or updates the CSI and the CSI report and transmits the updated CSI report. The at least one condition includes: a first condition that a message from the second apparatus indicating that a performance metric of channel decoding and/or decompressing of the CSI report is less than a threshold, and/or a second condition that an evaluated performance metric of channel decoding and/or decompressing the CSI report is below a threshold.
