Abstract: The present invention relates to an Al-IoT based autonomous predictive smart bus safety, crowd, and route intelligence system to enhance safety and efficiency in public transport. The system includes multiple sensors such as vibration sensor, air quality sensor, infrared/time-of-flight passenger counting sensor, driver drowsiness sensor, ultrasonic sensor, wheel speed sensor, magnetometer sensor, smoke and gas sensor, voltage current sensor, microphone, and door position sensor. An onboard Al-IoT based central processing unit processes sensor data through multi-sensor data fusion techniques and artificial intelligence algorithms. The system detects driver drowsiness, obstacles, vibrations, hazardous gases, electrical issues, dangerous door positions, and overcrowded passengers. Predictive analytics provide health and maintenance alerts, whereas passenger occupancy analysis, location analysis, and route analysis are performed through crowd management and route intelligence modules respectively. The processed information is communicated via an loT network to cloud computing platforms and dashboard applications on computer/mobile devices.
