Abstract: TITLE: AI-INTEGRATED THERMAL IMAGING DEVICE FOR EARLY ORAL PRE-CANCER SCREENING APPLICANT: 1. MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH 2. MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a portable device for early detection of oral precancerous lesions and oral cancer using thermal imaging and artificial intelligence. The device comprises an infrared thermal imaging camera configured to capture temperature variations in oral mucosal tissues, a signal conversion unit for converting thermal signals into digital image data, and a processing unit executing artificial intelligence algorithms trained on datasets of normal and abnormal oral thermal images. A decision-support device classifies detected thermal patterns into risk categories including normal, inflammatory, potentially malignant, and suspected malignant lesions. The output is displayed in real time through a display device in a color-coded format to assist clinicians during chairside examination. All components are integrated within a compact housing suitable for dental clinics, rural healthcare centers, and community screening programs. The device provides a non-invasive, radiation-free, and rapid diagnostic solution for early detection and clinical decision-making.
