MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611095269 A) filed by Chitkara University on August 06, 2026, for Ai-Integrated Smart Home Energy Management System And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Rakshit Sharma; and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a photovoltaic panel, a smart home energy management system, and a method for intelligent energy management. The photovoltaic panel comprises a multilayer architecture including a silicon nitride anti-reflection coating, ultra-pure copper front grid contacts, a nickel nanoparticle electron-capture interface, a titanium nitride diffusion barrier, a monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic junction, and a thermal management layer incorporating paraffin wax phase change material and an aluminium fin array to improve photovoltaic conversion efficiency through passive cooling. The smart home energy management system comprises an energy source interface layer, a sensing and metering module, an AI and autonomous decision engine, a power management module, and a user interface and cloud module. The system acquires electrical and environmental operating parameters, generates digital operating data, predicts household energy demand and solar energy availability using an LSTM neural network, optimizes battery charging and discharging, schedules electrical loads, and dynamically routes electrical energy among a photovoltaic panel, a battery, a utility grid, and household load circuits.
