MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641097417 A) filed by Sr University on August 12, 2026, for Ai-Integrated Implantable Brain–computer Interface System For Intelligent Digital Control And Adaptive Neural Communication.
Inventors include Dr. Tatiraju. V. Rajani Kanth; and Dr. Sandip Bhattacharya.
The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-integrated implantable brain–computer interface system for intelligent digital control and adaptive neural communication. The system comprises an implantable plurality of neural sensing electrodes, neural signal conditioning circuitry, an artificial intelligence-based neural decoding engine, an adaptive learning module, a command confidence and validation module, a contextual command generation module, a secure communication module, and an energy- management module. Neural activity acquired from neural tissue is conditioned and transformed into neural feature representations that are processed by the artificial intelligence-based neural decoding engine to determine probable user intentions. A confidence value is generated for each decoded intention and is evaluated together with signal quality, temporal consistency, command history, contextual information, and controlled-device state before generation of a digital control command. The adaptive learning module updates neural decoding parameters based on validated user or device feedback and changes in neural signal characteristics. Local processing, secure transmission, dynamic power management, diagnostic monitoring, and closed-loop feedback provide improved adaptability, command reliability, privacy, and energy efficiency. The system enables neural control of computers, communication interfaces, robotic systems, assistive devices, smart environments, virtual interfaces, and other digitally controllable systems.
