Abstract: An AI-integrated autonomous laboratory robot is disclosed for assisting personnel in routine laboratory operations, continuously monitoring laboratory conditions, and managing safety-related events. The system comprises a mobile robotic platform having one or more drive mechanisms, a robotic manipulator, a plurality of sensors, an imaging unit, a communication interface, a processing unit, and an artificial intelligence module. The artificial intelligence module is configured to identify laboratory objects, understand task instructions, plan and execute routine operations, monitor equipment and environmental parameters, and detect abnormal or hazardous conditions. The robot may autonomously perform tasks including movement of laboratory containers, sample transportation, equipment-status inspection, inventory assistance, waste-handling assistance, and scheduled monitoring activities. Sensor data relating to temperature, humidity, gas concentration, smoke, liquid leakage, proximity, motion, equipment status, and other laboratory parameters are processed to identify deviations from predefined safety conditions. Upon detection of a hazardous or abnormal event, the system can generate local and remote alerts, restrict robot movement, isolate an affected area where applicable, notify authorized personnel, and execute predefined safety procedures. An AI-based decision-making and task-prioritization mechanism enables the robot to adapt its operations according to laboratory conditions, task urgency, detected hazards, and user instructions. The system thereby provides autonomous routine-task assistance while improving laboratory monitoring, operational efficiency, traceability, and safety management.
