MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611083693 A) filed by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University on July 08, 2026, for Ai-Guided Smart Pipetting System For Semi-Auto Analysers.

Inventors include Yashika Bhardwaj; Dr. Munish Rastogi; Dr. Alka Katiyar; and Dheeraj Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is an AI-guided smart pipetting system for a semi-auto analyser. The system comprises a pipette body with an aspiration plunger and a replaceable tip seat, a communication interface for exchanging assay protocol data with the semi-auto analyser, a control module, a plunger-position sensor, a tip-change sensor, an operator guidance output, and an operation-inhibiting lock. The control module generates an ordered pipetting sequence from the assay protocol data, maps a plunger-position signal to a required volume for a current protocol step, actuates the operator guidance output, and maintains the operation-inhibiting lock in an inhibiting state when a required tip-change event or required volume condition is not verified before a next protocol step. The system thereby links protocol selection, liquid-handling verification, tip-change enforcement, and guided pipetting execution.
