MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611091073 A) filed by Mani Gupta; Shivani Goel; and Dr. Rashmi Ashtt on July 27, 2026, for Ai-Gis Enabled Digital Twin System For Women'S Safety Assessment And Urban Quality Of Life Management.
Inventors include Mani Gupta; Shivani Goel; and Dr. Rashmi Ashtt.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-GIS enabled Digital Twin system for continuous assessment of women's safety and urban quality of life. The system comprises a plurality of Smart Safety Nodes distributed across an urban environment, each Smart Safety Node including one or more imaging devices, environmental sensing devices, emergency communication interfaces, adaptive illumination devices, edge computing modules and communication modules configured to acquire and locally process environmental, infrastructural and behavioural information. The Smart Safety Nodes communicate with a centralized Digital Twin platform integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS) databases, municipal infrastructure databases and authorized external data sources. The centralized platform comprises an Artificial Intelligence Decision Engine configured to generate a dynamic Women's Safety Index and a Quality of Life Intelligence Engine configured to generate a dynamic Quality of Life Index. The platform further identifies infrastructure deficiencies, predicts emerging safety risks, simulates planning interventions and generates prioritized recommendations for improving urban safety, accessibility and infrastructure performance. The invention enables continuous evidence-based monitoring and adaptive management of urban environments through synchronized Digital Twin technology, artificial intelligence and distributed sensing infrastructure.
