Abstract: ABSTRACT AI-ENHANCED NURSING ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR CRITICAL CARE PATIENT DETERIORATION DETECTION An AI-enhanced nursing assessment system (100) for critical care patient deterioration detection is disclosed. The system comprises a data acquisition module (110) for continuous collection of physiological data, electronic health records, laboratory results, and parsed nursing documentation; an AI processing engine (120) employing ensemble machine learning algorithms and natural language processing for predictive deterioration analysis and severity-graded risk scoring; an alert generation module (130) for generating prioritized, explainable clinical alerts with evidence-based recommendations; a nursing dashboard interface (140) for multi-channel presentation of alerts on stationary and mobile devices; a feedback and learning module (150) for capturing nurse responses and retraining predictive models; and a data storage and security module (160) for encrypted data management. The system integrates seamlessly into existing ICU nursing workflows, reduces alarm fatigue, supports clinical judgment, and enables continuous improvement through closed-loop feedback. [
