MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101542 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 22, 2026, for Ai-Enhanced Adaptive Respiratory Headgear With Replaceable Filters And Active Airflow Control.

Inventor includes Bebesh Tripathy.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-enhanced adaptive respiratory headgear system comprising a reusable headgear structure, a replaceable micro-filter assembly, an active airflow system, environmental and biometric sensors, a pressure-based filter monitoring system, and an electronic control unit. The replaceable micro-filter assembly provides multi-stage filtration of particulate and gaseous contaminants, while a variable-speed fan delivers filtered air toward a breathing region of a user. The electronic control unit processes environmental, breathing-rate and filter pressure data using an artificial intelligence/machine-learning engine to dynamically regulate fan speed, detect filter clogging and predict filter service condition. The system further provides multi-modal haptic, visual and audible alerts and wireless communication for filter and environmental monitoring. The invention thereby provides adaptive airflow, real-time filter-condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in a reusable respiratory protection system
