Abstract: assessment of occupational stress and elderly wellness. A wearable sensor node and ambient IoT nodes provide physiological, motion and environmental signals to an edge fusion engine that determines signal quality and forms a quality-weighted multimodal observation. An adaptive baseline engine maintains user-specific baseline states conditioned on circadian interval and operational context and inhibits learning during abnormal or low-confidence periods. A multi-horizon inference engine generates acute and trend risk scores together with an uncertainty value, enabling separation of transient exertion from persistent occupational strain and identification of progressive elderly wellness deviation before a binary emergency event. A confidence-aware response orchestrator selects graded interventions according to severity, persistence, uncertainty, corroboration, user mode, consent and recipient role. Role-separated data views and a secure event layer minimize disclosure of raw physiological information while preserving auditable escalation. Edge processing supports reduced bandwidth, lower alert latency and continued local operation during network interruption. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
