The application for the patent was published on October 23, 2026, under issue no. 43/2026.
Abstract: This invention proposes an AI-criabled system for detecting and diagnosing faults in solar photovoltaic panels using thermal images. The system analyses uploaded thermal images using artificial intelligence and computer vision techniques to identify hotspots and other thermal anomalies. It determines the probable fault type and its severity and evaluates its possible impact on panel performance. The system also generates an intelligent diagnostic report containing fault details, maintenance recommendations, and preventive measures. This reduces the need for manual inspection and expert image analysis. The proposed system enables faster fault identification, supports efficient maintenance decisions, reduces maintenance time and costs, and improves the reliability and operational efficiency of photovoltaic systems
