MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124775 A) filed by Sns College Of Technology on October 17, 2026, for Ai-Enabled Smart Visitor Management System For Automated Identity Verification, Host Approval And Digital Access Logging.

Inventors include Mr. S. Haribabu; Dhivya T; Prenishaa A; Vijayanila V; and Ravishankar G.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based smart visitor management system configured to automatically verify visitor identity, obtain host approval, and maintain a digital entry-exit record for a monitored premises. The proposed system provides a unified visitor management platform combining visitor pre- registration, voice and OCR-based data capture, AI-based facial verification, identity-document verification, risk and blacklist scoring, automated host approval, QR- code based digital gate pass generation, entry-exit logging, and a centralized, authenticated analytics dashboard. The system receives a visitor entry request through a WhatsApp-based pre-registration channel or a walk-in form and captures visitor details through voice-based autofill or optical character recognition of a government- issued identity document. The captured facial scan is matched against a stored visitor and blacklist database, and the resulting confidence is combined with the identity- document verification result into a weighted risk score. When the risk evaluation permits the request to proceed, an automated approval request is transmitted to the designated host through a WhatsApp Business API webhook, and the host's approve or decline response is received in real time. Upon approval, a QR-code based digital gate pass is generated for contactless entry, and each entry and exit event is logged with a timestamp to a digital, searchable audit trail. An authorized user accesses a centralized dashboard, through a web browser, that presents real-time visitor tracking, entry-exit logs, and analytics across multiple locations. The invention provides an integrated workflow in which a visitor entry request is converted into verified visitor data, the verified data is evaluated against configured risk conditions, and the outcome is converted into a host-approved, logged, and traceable visitor entry. The system is intended to reduce dependence on manual registration and guard judgement calls, and to provide a structured mechanism for secure, auditable visitor access.
