Abstract: ABSTRACT: AI-Enabled Smart Dustbin System with Selective Human Access and Animal Restriction This invention describes an Artificial Intelligence-based smart waste disposal apparatus configured to enable selective access to a waste containment chamber. The system employs a vision-based detection mechanism and an embedded processing unit executing machine-learning algorithms to classify approaching entities as human or non-human. Upon identification of a human user, a control architecture actuates a motorized lid to permit temporary and controlled access for waste disposal. In contrast, when a non-human entity such as an animal is detected, the lid remains closed, thereby preventing unauthorized access and waste disturbance. The apparatus further incorporates a structurally reinforced housing to resist tampering and, in certain embodiments, a hazardous waste isolation arrangement to segregate harmful materials. The system enhances sanitation, reduces litter spread, protects animals from injury, and provides an adaptive, automated waste management solution suitable for urban, residential, institutional, and public environments.
