Abstract: AI-enabled smart cricket ball with embedded multi-sensor system for real-time performance and decision analytics Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI- enabled smart cricket ball having an embedded multi-sensor system for real-time performance and match-event analytics. The cricket ball incorporates a miniature inertial measurement unit comprising an accelerometer and gyroscope, a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, a low-power microcontroller, and a BLE/UWB wireless communication module while maintaining substantially regulation-compliant dimensions and weight. The sensors acquire ball acceleration, angular velocity, impact force, trajectory, seam orientation, spin rate and speed data. Sensor data is wirelessly transmitted to an external computing system, where artificial-intelligence-based sensor fusion and event-detection algorithms generate real-time analytics. The system can support bowler performance analysis, abnormal-impact and tampering detection, and decision support for LBW, edge and no-ball events. The invention provides a scalable smart-sports sensing platform for professional cricket, academies and sports analytics.
