Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-enabled self-healing smart composite material manufacturing system designed for producing advanced composite components with integrated structural monitoring and autonomous defect correction capability. The proposed system combines smart composite fabrication techniques, embedded sensing technology, artificial intelligence-based defect prediction, and self-healing activation mechanisms to improve structural reliability and service life. The system incorporates distributed sensor networks, intelligent material monitoring units, AI-based analysis modules, and adaptive healing control mechanisms. During manufacturing and operation, the embedded sensors continuously collect real-time information related to stress, strain, temperature variation, crack initiation, and internal structural changes. The collected data is processed using artificial intelligence algorithms to identify potential defects and predict structural degradation. Based on the detected damage condition, an automated self-healing controller activates appropriate repair mechanisms such as microcapsule-based healing agents, shape- memory recovery materials, thermal healing elements, or chemical repair systems integrated within the composite structure. The proposed innovation enables continuous structural health monitoring and automatic defect correction without requiring external inspection or manual repair. The system is applicable in aerospace components, automotive structures, marine systems, biomedical devices, industrial machinery, and advanced engineering applications where improved durability, reliability, and reduced maintenance requirements are required.
