Abstract: AI-enabled hearing aid signal processing hardware is the proposed invention. The invention concerns a hearing aid signal processing hardware system with AI capabilities to enhance the hearing experience of hearing-impaired users by providing smart real-time sound enhancement and adaptive audio processing. The system is a miniaturized wearable device, consisting of multiple microphones, analog-to-digital conversion modules, embedded digital signal processors, adaptive amplification circuits, wireless communication interfaces, and low-power artificial intelligence processing units. Artificial intelligence algorithms preferably convolutional neural networks analyses audio signals captured from surrounding environment to identify speech patterns, to classify environmental noise and dynamically optimize sound processing parameters. The system employs adaptive noise reduction, beamforming, feedback cancellation, echo suppression and personalized gain control to provide improved speech intelligibility with minimal unwanted acoustic interference. The hardware also allows for automatic adaptation to the environment and hearing optimization for users based on continuous machine learning of preferences. The energy-efficient edge computing architecture and intelligent power management mechanisms make the low-latency operation with lower power consumption suitable for portable hearing assistance applications.
